That Spoon Full of Sugar
I have been thinking about starting a blog for a while now because I want to stay connected with our family and friends who live all over the place. I decided that this is going to serve not only as a fun and cute way to show what we have been up to, but it is going to be a gratitude blog. Whenever I hear people talking about a great thing someone did for them or something they are grateful for, it lifts me up as well. I want to be able to do that for anyone who decides to spend some time on this blog. I was inspired to do this by a women at Walmart, yes I said Walmart, who brightened my day and changed my outlook forever through the simplest act of kindness.
Gratitude: To the woman at Walmart - I did not ask your name while I hurried to the check out line with a screaming hungry baby. You so willingly rushed me ahead of you in line. Not only did you let me cut in front of you but you also unloaded my entire cart of groceries and told me to hold my sad little baby. You did this without a blink of an eye even though you had your own little ones with you! I will NEVER forget this small act of kindness but I'm sure she will. I hope I will be that person for others who offers up small gestures that impact a strangers day in a positive way.
Update: I just returned home from visiting my family in the Chicago are area. It was so much fun to show off my sweet little girl. It was such a treat to get to visit and I have an amazing mother and grandmother for making it possible. My sister is due to have her third baby girl in a couple of weeks and I am so happy she was able to meet Noelle before she has her own little own to take care of. It was great seeing so many friends and family members, I was exhausted when it was all over but I had a blast.
Noelle meeting Great Grandma
Jenny drove in from the Quad Cities to spend a couple of days with Noelle and I. We had so much fun!
Some how Noelle and Lauren are cousins, 3rd? They are just about 1 month apart.
Cousin Addy and Noelle. Addison was so excited to meet Noelle and was giving her kisses
while she was napping.
She's getting even more adorable! And she's gotten so big! I enjoy all your updates
ReplyDeleteHey Brit Thanks for the update and the pics of sweet baby girl. Just a note though, so you don't repeat my stupidity. When I came up with my blog address it was based on my fam. at the time, but now it is burnetts +3 soon to be 4 in a year or so and I tried to change the blog address to something that would fit us all but then you lose all your comments. So while your blog is still fresh and new, you might consider changing it now to include future children...but really it is totally up to you. Just a suggestion. It just really bugs me with my own blog.
ReplyDeleteUhg I remember you saying that when you had Cole! Why didn't I think about that?
DeleteBrit! I'm so glad you had a fun time and I'm so happy you are home safely! I can't wait for our adventure tomorrow. Also, please add me to your list when you go private. emmypbarker@gmail.com. Loves!
